HAPPY EASTER, EVERYONE

Happy Easter

AJ's first Easter outfit. Doesn't he look handsome?

His first Easter Basket

Mommy cracked open the egg to get the surprise, he loved to hear the "pop" of the egg opening.

Mommy and AJ all dressed up.

OK, the rest of the pics are sort of out of sinc, but it's so hard to put more pictures on here. They come up in the wrong order! So forgive me.
Jackson won the secret egg this year, showing his surprise.
Some of them were hidden pretty good, even Daddy was helping to look!

Mommy helped Jackson in the high places to look.

Jackson helping to make the salad for lunch before the egg hunt.

Nana taking a break with AJ, getting ready to hunt for eggs with his cousin Jackson. All of the other grandkids were with their Mom or with their own family, too far away to make it for a short weekend trip, so it was a pretty quiet Easter. We enjoyed the adult children and conversation though.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Mommy, what are we doing?

We are going to color Easter Eggs to celebrate Easter!

First you take this round thing and hang on to it .....
Ut-Ohhh
It's a lot heavier than it looks!

I dropped my first Easter egg, Mommy!!!!
That's Ok AJ, it will be OK.

NEXT

Now we just write something on the egg with this crayon.

And then you drop it into the cup with colored water.
(Yea, right, OK Mom)

And then you end up with a beautiful colored egg!

A couple of weekends ago, we got to enjoy another visit from Pat and Kevin. It was a bittersweet visit. The kids grandfather had passed away and they came to Michigan for the funeral. We did get to visit for the day and help celebrate the life of Loyal Lewis.

Jeff, Sonya and Gabby came to visit at Uncle Mel's for awhile too.

And don't forget little Kevin. They have not seen each other in years.

Gabby holding AJ, she was sick when he first got home and didn't get the chance to hold her newest cousin.

Steve took a turn at holding the baby, but he said, "No!" when asked if it put him in the mood to have another little one!!!

Cherri and AJ, it satisfied her Baby Fever too. Only grandbabies she said.
We all helped celebrate the life and memory of Loyal Lewis at his son's that night. Good stories, good times.

AJ's First Days at Home!

AJ has been a wonderful baby to have around. He is growing fast. He eats a little cereal now! (Don't tell the doctor!) But he acts like he has been eating from a spoon forever! And he loves it.
He likes to kick back in his bibs, bib overalls that is!
And he seems to really enjoy his bathtime :)

And cousins galore for little AJ. Brenden is holding him, he just loved to be around him. And always saying, "I kiss it."

And of course lots of Aunts and Uncles to spoil him too. Aunt Angie got to spoil him a little while they were here for a visit righta after he was born.

And of course "everyone needs their Binky" according to Brenden. He was always making sure AJ had his too!

Hugs and kisses from Jackson on their visit to AJ too.

Uncle Joe got to get his time with AJ too.

Aunt Jen had to share with Jackson when it was her turn!

We are all adjusting pretty good with a new baby in the house, but it sure takes forever to get out the door to go any where! How you forget over the years how much time is takes to do things with a little one!

Anniversary Party

Finally the day arrived for the Anniversary Party for Ben and Angie, and all went fantastic. The day offered pleasant weather and everyone made it to Michigan with no problems.

Jess and Jen helping Angie into her dress before the service.

Riley and Brenden getting ready too!

Janna and Jen waiting to go into the church.
I didn't get to take pictures in the church. But hopefully some will be given to me to use. So you will be able to see all of the guys and girls together.

At the reception, getting ready to say prayer before the meal.

Dustin giving a toast, as Best Man.
Jess giving her toast, as Matron of Honor, and she had everyone tearing up with her comments of Angie being there and she was there for Angie while their husbands were deployed to Iraq.

The cake, very elegant with the Willowtree cake topper, and it was very delicious!

Ben helping Angie cut the cake for their first taste!

Feeding each other the cake, nice and neat!!
Then the battle began. Not sure who got the worst end of the deal,

ANGIE or

Ben!!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BEN and ANGIE

Hopefully there will be lots more pictures to follow.
We all enjoyed a great time at the reception following the
