Summer Hail Storm

This is the back yard table right outside of the back door, I didn't want to go to far out, those things hurt when they hit! We had a couple of nasty thunderstorms go through this afternoon. The hail was coming down almost on an angle at one time. When we thought it was all clear, it started again. That was a great welcome summer storm!

Tonia's Shower

Tonia, Don's niece, will be a new mom real soon! She is expecting twins any time now! And I'm sure she is saying the sooner the better!
She is having a boy and a girl. They will be named Harmony and Drew, they are also going to be decorating the nursery in the Pooh theme.
Great-Grandma P had a great gift idea. She hung the clothes on a clothesline and then folded them into a basket as they pulled the first outfit out of the basket the rest followed like they were hanging on the line on laundry day. Very cute. And as you see, Matt is learning to help with the laundry already!

Good luck to the new Mom and Dad. We'll keep you posted on their arrival.

Zoo Trip

Angie, Riley and Brenden with the wolf statues. Brenden was quite taken with all of the animals even the ones that didn't move!

We all enjoyed the train ride through the African part of the zoo.
Brenden is always smiling, and today he had lots to smile about!

Riley enjoyed the petting zoo. Here she's checking out the pot belly pig.

She also enjoyed the playground for a little break from walking around.

Visit to Sauder's Village

Third graders got to go to the Sauder Village in Wauseon, Ohio this year. That is a really neat trip. All of the old fashion houses, and furniture and don't forget the old store with the rows of "penny" candies in the cases! I think most of them enjoy the trip. I do. Here is the horse that will take you for a ride around the grounds in a buggy.

Here are some oxen that were being led over the bridge. They wer huge animals. But I guess they would have to be to do the work on an old farm like the one at the village.
