IN MEMORY

BEAR POLING
1999-2007
Today was a very sad day at our home. We lost a very good family member. Bear, Amy's dog,was put down after he suffered a stroke. For several weeks we had him in the house, he usually stayed outside in the kennel because it was too hot in the house for him. He loved to play in the cold weather! But he had trouble getting around and couldn't walk very good, so Amy brought him in and he stayed in her room for the last few weeks. But over the weekend he just got weaker and weaker. So the vet decided it was for the best to have him put down. He will be missed by all, especially Amy and all the grandkids, who called him "That Big Dog!" As you can see by the pictures that fit him very well. But he was very gentle, especially with the kids.

Amy getting a treat for him as he anticipates the taste of a "yummy."

Jackson watching as Bear gives Amy a high-five before getting his treat. And Jackson and Bear posing for the camera. As you can see he was quite the Big Dog.

We'll miss you Bear, you will always be with us.

My Hobby

Some New (old) Pictures to look at!
People have wondered why we didn't have any new pictures on the page for a long time. Well I wasn't sure how to do it. My daughter came home for Christmas and she showed me how to add some new pictures. So I went back and pulled some of the older ones that I had and am sharing those with everyone just so they will have something new to look at!! Hope you enjoy them.
These are some of the snow people that I made, Don got a scroll saw for Fathers Day and I have been using it, a lot! I found out I love to cut things out and paint and do all sorts of things the shovels and basket of "snow cookies" are made from sculpey clay and I gave several for gifts this year. I think I found a new niche for myself!

This is also one of my passions! I make baby wreaths for newborns and their mommies! This is the one that I made for Brenden last summer. It made the trip to Tenn. OK, but we did have to glue some of the things on again as the glue sort of melted in the 105 degree heat that we had to endure for several days. Wow! Thank goodness for airconditioning!

The New Cousin

Gabby and August meeting Brenden, August couldn't wait to hold that baby! Mom and Riley are close by!

Jackson's Second Birthday Party

This is August with her parrot that she won at the birthday party for Jackson. They all had fun being pirates for the day. That was his favorite costume

Gabby and Savannah discussing the party bags that they got, notice Gabby had to lift her eye patch to see what was going on!

Jackson opening one of his gifts with Mom's help. He was king for the day but he didn't have to walk the plank!!

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY JACKSON!

Backtrack to 2007!

This is Jackson and Daddy (Joe) cleaning out the pumpkin last Oct. The pumpkin is almost as big as Jackson is!

Mom (Jen) helped clean out the insides, Jackson had a ball digging all the seeds out of the pumpkin that was as big as he is!

Who's that under all the wrapping

Guess Who?
This is August who is always ready to party! She had to decorate herself as a present with all the bows and ribbons from the packages Christmas morning

And Brenden who wanted to know if he was taller than the snowman!

Christmas and The New Year!

Riley and Jackson calling their friends on their phones, to wish them a
"Happy New Year!"

This is the front room on Christmas day with everyone ready to open gifts. Angie played Santa this year and got to hand out the presents!

This is the shelf Don built for me to put in the front room to hold all of the grandkids pictures. It turned out really good and it doesn't take up as much room as the old shelf we had.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Brenden's First Christmas
Our own little Santa Claus!

This is how our Christmas Tree used to look on Christmas morning years ago!! Angie and her children were "home" for Christmas this year. The awe of little children is the best morning gift of all.

Brenden opening his first Christmas present with the help of Mommy and Big Sister, Riley.

Brock, who is not a "little" boy any more, made it to Nana and Papa's for Christmas too! We had a short visit, but was great to see him. He's so proud to be taller than Nana now!
